Happy and fun day with Moriah and Joshua!

Sure did enjoy being with my tween grandchildren today! Had breakfast at Perkins, then to Good Will and found 'Jumonji' a board game, and two good movies. (The Muppets in space, and the first teen age mutant ninja turtles with real people. ) stopped at Sweetbay and got some 'Merryjong', an instant soup mix that the kids love , and a huge cantilope. Then to the discount store for some beef jerky, four for a dollar! At home we had lunch and played Jumonji and Josh showed me how to play Sims 2, and then put the movies in the VCR but the eleven year old VCR seems to have retired. So we put on the DVD player and watche Lord of the rings, the fellowship of the rings. Then we went over to Chester's house to see how Good husband was doing, and the kids love the place, cause they remember when we visited when Chester was still there, and he showed them all his chickens and doves and cockateels and other animals. they are all gone now. but the huge rope swings hanging from the huge old oakk in back entertained them for quite a while! And the just enjoyed poking around the big yard. Then we went back home and Joshua, who is a budding artist, asked Nana for some drawing tips, which Nana was thrilled to give him! I told him these where all things my Dad, His Great Grandpa, taught me many years ago. He is VERY tanlented! Pretty Moriah showed me some of her cheers., and sang for old Nana, while Nana played the keyboard. She sings like an angel, like her Mama and Aunt Ruthy!! What wonderful Grandchildren I have!!!!  Thank you, Lord!

Busy, busy day!

Early this morning , Whitt's Septic man, Gary, our old freind who pumped our tank three weeks ago, came by cause we where all clogged up again. Such a nice young man. The septic tank was chuck full again, and he had told us that the drain feild was terrible, and it might last a week or a year. It lasted a month. We need a new drain field. Gary said it would be throwwing our two hundred dollars away to pump it out again , cause it will just fill up again. We're going to try to get a new drain field put in. He did empty  the tank out so we could use our toilet for a little while. The Lord Bless him and his familly , we pray!! :)
My Good Husband saw the throat doctor today at the VA. He had been very hoarse and could hardly talk. He checked his throat, and couldn't see anything wrong, but wants to send him to another doctor to check out his vocal cords.
I built an addition to the chicken pen, so the chickees can have a little more room outside.
Good Husband seems to be having some memory and cognitive problems. We take it day by day, like the Word says to do. 'Be careful for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving , make your requests known unto God, and the peace that passes all understanding will be with your hearts and your minds. '

Baby Eric

I watched baby Eric today while Ruthy went over to the church and worked on her pictures on the nursery wall. I need to get some pictures! They are SO cute! The little guy was just great. He is facinated by everything. We went outside for a little while and he just looked and looked at everything, especially all the stuff on the ground while we where sitting down. I showed him the brown sicimore leaf and let him feel it, and a spray of grass with little seeds on the end, and swoshed it on his arms and legs. He is so attentive. He grabbed a carrot tree leaf whilewe where walking. He grabs things now, and holds them. Inside, I sat him up on a pillow, and pulled some beautiful colorful books out to show him. He looked and looked, eyes got like saucers, and had to feel the pages. He's a neat little guy!!

working too hard.

Good  husband was working out in that hot sun all day, and now has cramping in his hands and legs. He overdid it. I told him so. I kind of over did it myself. I did some weed-wacking and weeding over at Chesters, and got a little too much sun for an old lady. But I recover quickly. I love going over to Chesters. He has big old pineapples growing all around the house. And all the citrus fruit is still real good.  I can see why my Good Husband likes being over there. But he needs to pace himself! I think I'll try taking some pictures and posting them.

Thank you, Lord!

Sold a computer yesterday! It's an old but good one, complete system with an old but good digital camera thrown in. The elderly lady down the road , who has bought three in the last couple years, bought this one for her grandchildren , whom she is helping to raise. Now I think they all have a computer! :)  Also put a pretty table up and filled in and surrounded it with plants that I started a few months ago, and sold some plants. Sold the puter for twenty dollars and sold about five dollars of plants. It was fun. Those kids where SO happy!

Good for Good Husband.

Good Husband started his new job today. It's so good to see him happy and working again. He is 74 and has not been working for a while, and he is a working man. He is cleaning up the neighbor's house that has been neglected since our good nieghbor passed away. Mary his wife may be returning to  live in the house again. They're not sure. But they would like the yards to be made neat and presentable again. Good Husband is SO good at this! And just a few houses away. The kids gave us our chickens, originally nine in all. Now down to five. Chester was a very good nieghbor, and loved chickens and  doves and other birds and living things, and had a managery in his back yard. They're all gone now. He also had all sorts of fruit trees, Papaya, oranges, tangarines, grapefriuts, grapes, star fruit, catley guava, pineapples, and other odd fruit trees that I don't recognise. I love going back there just to look around at the plants!

Happy day watching Baby Eric.

That's what it was. A happy day watching grandbaby Eric. I got some little smiles today. No big ones. But he was very very good and lots of fun to be wi th. Mama Ruthy is such a good Mama! Proud of her.
